Armin’s Catering & Events celebrates our 21st year anniversary this year. Our philosophy embraces the vision that the taste of food and entertaining is a spectacular symphony.

The Queen City has embraced Armin’s Catering & Events at many of its finest venues including The Mint Museum, The Levine Museum, Temple Beth El, The Foundation for The Carolinas, The McColl Center, Center Stage No Da, Charlotte Museum of History, and The Magnolia Room.

Armin’s Catering & Events is located in the Lake Norman area with our corporate office in Huntersville and two venues in Historic Davidson and Cornelius, just minutes from Mooresville and downtown Charlotte. Armin’s Catering & Events provides boutique services, which includes event and venue design, menu planning and entertainment coordination.

Armin’s specializes in helping you design the complete occasion. A unique “tasting” & meeting will ensure that your menu will make a lasting impression on you and your guests for years to come.

Armin Desch, Owner - Armins Catering

Armin Desch, Owner

Armin Desch is a New Jersey native but now lovingly calls North Carolina home. Armin has been in the food service industry for more than 25 years and has been specializing in catering and event planning for 21 years. Armin is the President of Armin’s Catering LLC and leads the team in adhering to our guiding principles that include that we will provide flexible, traditional and innovative catering menu, décor, and event planning solutions- delivered with flawless execution. Armin previously was the owner of The Country Boardwalk Deli in Midtown, next to Carolinas Medical Center. Armin most recently opened The Pearl Wedding and Event Center in Cornelius NC, and currently manages the Historic Beaver Dam House in the Town of Davidson. In 2013 he moved the corporate offices to Huntersville NC. Armin is active in the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lake Norman.er positive attitude, creativity, and attention to detail create a unique recipe for assisting couples plan their big day. Ariel not only focuses on designing menus specific to the event, but also coordinates each aspect to ensure every event whether a lunch or a wedding is a success.

Ariel Hicks - Armins Catering

Ariel Hicks, Event Specialist

Ariel Hicks graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Culinary Arts Associate Degree and a Bachelor’s in Foodservice Management with a concentration in special event planning. She is on track to graduate with a Masters in Business Administration in Spring of 2015. Ariel has worked in a multitude of roles within the foodservice industry including serving, bartending, line cook, and event planning. Working in various locations such as hotels, restaurants, country clubs, and resorts has helped her to coordinate a variety of events no matter the style or location. With her love of food and dedication to the industry, she brings fresh, innovative ideas to the team. Her positive attitude, creativity, and attention to detail create a unique recipe for assisting couples plan their big day. Ariel not only focuses on designing menus specific to the event, but also coordinates each aspect to ensure every event whether a lunch or a wedding is a success.

Kathleen McMahan, Event Stylist - Armins Catering

Kathleen McMahan, Event Stylist

A lake Norman native for 20+ years, Kathleen is trained and schooled in the world of interior design from East Carolina University. She designed and installed the Renaissance beautification of The Pearl Wedding Venue in Lake Norman. Her resources and secret spots of the area for collecting the perfect props for your wedding, mitzvah, or any event of your wildest dreams.

Kathleen brings her knowledge from interior design regarding space planning balance and beauty.

Gary Myerscough, Operations Manager - Armins Catering

Gary Myerscough, Operations Manager

Gary has worked part time with Armin’s Catering for the past 15 years. In the summer of 2013, Gary joined the Team as a full time staff member. Gary holds a Degree in Business Administration and is currently the Business and Operations Manager. Gary manages the day to day administrative functions including Accounting and Bookkeeping, Financial and tax reporting, and ABC monthly reports. Gary works closely with the CPA to ensure that all accounts are reconciled and reported accurately. It is not uncommon for Gary to function as an event manager for our larger corporate clients, and for weddings at our Premier facilities. Gary holds the responsibility of keeping the multiple social media sites for Armin’s Catering up to date with all the events the company takes part in.
